Image & Picture Standards
There is no doubt you will be posting images on Where Worlds Collide, in fact, we encourage it! There are however a few rules that are needed to take into consideration to keep things running smoothly so everyone can enjoy Where Worlds Collide running.
Okay, you can have animated avatars, signature or even post animated picture/gifs/pixel sprits here on Where Worlds Collide. Our General Rules & Guidelines has a more on what images are not allowed to be posted here.
Signatures are a great place to share images with others. They make finding any specific place easier with banners or buttons. To many images can stretch your signature so to keep that from happening, either keep the amount of images down to a certain amount or keep the image size down to specific dimensions.
Avatars are a great way to help other members identify you, and a whole lot easier, and cheaper, than to change your own appearance. And the best part, they can be animated to as far as we know. Be warned, this information may change depending on if animated avatars are allowed or not.
Linking to a different section of the forum or off-site, though do so at your own risk, and are easy to modify. Or ask someone else to do so, make a banner that is.
Preview images are a small cutout of the original image that are used as a link to the full sized image which may be be off-site.
If you ever want your site or a site in general affiliated with us, then this is what badges are good for. The display the important information that makes identifying them easy.
Now here is a list of the acceptable sizes for the various types of image; banners, avatars, icons, etc. As well as what to do if you cannot resize the image, for whatever reason, that you wish to post or share
Avatars:Banners:88x31, 200x40,
Banners cannot excede 980x350
Icons:Badges:For larger images there is the option of using spoilers.
